The band formed when seasoned industry professionals—bassist and founder Hernán “Motley” Rodríguez, guitarist/vocalist Andy Barrow, and producer Gabo Sanoja—united over a shared vision of crafting music that was both innovative and deeply expressive. Mike Mangini, formerly of Dream Theater and Extreme, completed the trio’s lineup, bringing a legendary percussive force to the earliest forms of Monolith’s sound.

Together, these artists—each a master of their craft—form Monolith, a band that is as much about pushing musical boundaries as it is about creating meaningful, powerful connections with their audience. Their music is a testament to their collaborative spirit, showcasing an innovative mix of genres that promises to challenge listeners and inspire new ideas in modern rock and metal.
